Kings sign Schenn to a 3-year deal
The Los Angeles Kings have signed forward Brayden Schenn to a three-year entry level contract.
Schenn, a first round draft pick (fifth overall) by the Kings in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, played in one game with the Kings this season after signing a One-Day Regular Season Amateur Tryout Agreement.
He has 54 games under his belt this season with the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League and leads his club with 85 points and 56 assists. He also ranks tied for third in goals with 29. Schenn's 85 points also rank seventh overall in the WHL.
Brayden is the younger brother of Toronto defencemen Luke Schenn. He was the third youngest player to appear in a game for the Kings and the nineteenth teenager to play for the Kings all-time.
