Default N. Wallin a Shark

Dreger and Duthie said it in twitter. He's not playing tonight and he'll be a Shark soon.

As in, the Leafs player Wallin?

But...why would anyone take him?

carolina defenseman. I dunno a lot about him, though. He appears to have solid size for a defenseman. Good depth defenseman for the Sharks?

Yeah. Good insurance for the playoffs I guess.

Interesting fact - he has 3 OT goals in the playoffs. Pretty impressive!

Hmm Sharks had been rumoured for a while now to be after a depth guy on defence.

Wallin though? Hmm I thought they might go after a little bigger name like O'Donnell but seems like Sharks didn't want to wait any longer, depends on what they gave back, i say good move though.

I can't see them giving back anything more than a 4th round pick in this one.

very smart move for the Sharks, this is what the Sens should do too (add a really cheap, but veteran depth player)

Haha, San Jose is now without a 2nd round pick, but has 3 5th rounders... Odd. But yeah, I remember talking at the start of the season about how they needed to shore up their 6th/7th defense spot after trading away Lukowich and Erhoff. Good move by them even if they overpaid a tiny bit.
