Default Wild bus catches fire

Buddy of mine just told me he heard on the radio that the Wild's bus caught fire. All the players are ok, but the equipment is toast. There is a possibility that the game tommorow night will be cancelled against ottawa.

Wow! Glad everyone is ok! Sucks about their equipment though, that can't be cheap to replace!

Yea, i assume it will be in the news fairly soon so more details can come. I hope this thread is ok here. It's another team, but it affects the game tommorow. Move if needed

Apparently the Minnesota Wild bus has caught on fire - on the way to Ottawa - and has destroyed all the gear. Trying get more details

Normally I'd move it, but since it has to do with tomorrow's game, I'll just edit the title and keep it here

Think about the logistics that would go into getting the equipment to them overnight.

Each player's specific skates, sticks, pads, jerseys, etc.

I'm sure they've got all that stuff sitting in the arena, but getting all of that sent to Ottawa is going to cost a lot of money...

I was just about to ask why they would take the bus from Minneapolis all the way to Ottawa...but then I realised they were in Montreal last night

Source?

Because the Wild are currently in talks with the NHL wanting to know what the options are and it's very possible the game be rescheduled.

The members of the Wild's front office staff are currently in the process of determining the damage to the equipment, and the team has released the following statement:

“There was a fire in an equipment van in the parking lot at Scotiabank Place this afternoon. Some of the Minnesota Wild’s equipment has been damaged. The Wild is in the process of taking inventory to determine the damage to our equipment.”
