You know how players heat their sticks with torches?

That's one of the theories about how the fire started in a player's bag. The torch was turned on somehow and everything was burnt.

It's just a theory though and there is a full investigation going on about the incident and what caused the fire.

I have no idea really. I did it a few times, but I've never noticed a drastic change in my play. My stick seems to feel a bit more 'free' so to speak though when I did it those times.

I never noticed a difference personally. The stick was more free, so to speak and it felt lighter in my hands.

Ahhh well... who knows. My bf's dad does it because the NHL'ers do it. And no other reason! Haha,

^^ LOL, I did it for that reason to at first. It's not a huge change in your game, but I felt my slapshot was a bit harder.

My bf's dad isn't very good. So it makes no difference. I could beat him and my bf at hockey singlehandedly!

Yeah, I have seen that before. But I've seen them heat the top as well... not sure why!?
