Game Day in Calgary- Elliott to Start
The Senators continue their West Coast swing tonight at the Pengrowth Saddledome in Calgary. Ottawa turned in a solid performance in Edmonton the other night and will look to keep it going against the Iginla and the Flames.
Calgary is fighting for their playoff lives right now and should provide a real tough test for Ottawa.
While there was talk about Foligno and possibly Kuba joining the Sens on this road trip, that is now pretty unlikely. Sounds like both guys could be ready to go when the Sens return to Ottawa next week.
Here are the lines from the morning skate in Calgary...
Michalek-Spezza-Alfredsson
Regin-Fisher-Kovalev
Donovan-Cullen-Neil
Ruutu-Winchester-Shannon
Chris Kelly did not take the skate this morning but according to Ian Mendes will play against the Flames.
Brian Elliott will make his second straight start.
Pretty cool stat to keep an eye on tonight. Anton Volchenkov is currently sitting at 999 career blocked shots. Although it's still a relatively new stat, 1000 blocked shots is truly an amazing number. Congrats to A-Train...
Puck drop is at 9:30 PM or 11:00 PM Newfoundland time. Gonna be a late night for me!
