Default Leclaire Steals a Point

Three straight loses after the Olympic break. Certainly not the start the Senators were looking for out of the break.

Great energy in the building with the usual 50/50 split in attendance. It was loud all night long.

The flu is a pretty good excuse in this one so you have to hand it to the Sens for grinding out a point in this one.

A lot of the credit has to go to Pascal Leclaire. He has had a rough go of it lately but turned in a solid performance and helped Ottawa steal a point.

Ottawa is now off until Tuesday and should have some time to get healthy and ready for the Oilers as the Sens kick off a three game Western swing.

Chirp of the Week coming tomorrow...

He did re-gain my respect but regulation and overtime but lost all of it in the shootout.

A good goalie stays solid until the end. LeClaire did not make the saves that win you the game for good. Gustavssen did.

I was more annoyed by the piss-weak efforts of both Kovalev and Spezza through the game in regulation.

Boys boys boys ( BEEP censored hold your tongue Flex) Game should never had gone to a shoot out. A goalie holds you in the game that long through so many errors sick or not...... I saw three opportunities for a clear shot on net that ended with in a pass that faileds along with two awesome feeds into the slot that were fumbled. Some Senators did indeed have the flue others ????????????????????????????? focus, heads up soft hands on the stick maybe. But Leclair is not to be blamed here.

Honestly I was watching this game with my bf and we were both just laughing the entire game!

It looked like I was watching an OHL game, on both ends! My bf is a leafs fan, and I a sens fan, and seriously the entire game we were like, oh man this is hilarious! The sens looked sick (as in flu sick and exhausted) while the Leafs looked like they were a brand new team (i think they only have like 3 players from the team last year).

The Sens ARE better than what they showed last night, BY FAR!!! And yeah, LeClaire sorta blew it in the end and Gustavsson didn't. But still, he made some huge saves, and without him, we would have NOT gotten a point out of the game!

There were a few people who did impress me though: LeClaire, Shannon, Smith (I thought looked good), Cullen.

Either way, I know it was a game against one of the worst in the league, but we got out with a point, we are off until Tues... and getting healthy!!! Hopefully we come back with a strong week this week

GO SENS GO!
