Back to Scotiabank
The Senators return to the friendly ice at Scotiabank Place a day after a convincing defeat at the hands of Eastern Conference powerhouse, the Washington Capitals.
The Senators were given the day off today.
The Sens are back home to face the Panthers tomorrow night and before they embark on a crucial 5 game road trip. With a rough stretch ahead, it becomes that much more important that the Senators find a way to beat the Panthers on Saturday night.
It looks like the Senators will be without another offensive weapon with Milan Michalek expected to miss the game against the Florida. With Michalek down the the Senators are now officially playing without their entire top line.
There aren't many teams in the NHL that could survive without their entire top line.
Michalek's injury is an upper body one and will be reevaluated later today.
Expect Pascal Leclaire to be back in the net on Saturday night. Leclaire was furious in the post game scrum and can hopefully channel some of that anger and turn in a solid performance.
I'll post an update on Michalek when it becomes available.
