Default Ugly Loss in Washington

Really didn't think the Senators played too badly tonight. Reality was they got some big saves at times but a few weak ones just seemed to deflate the team at key times.

When Phillips scored late in the second it really looked like the Sens had some life but a weak goal from Backstrom really put this one to bed.

The power play continued to struggle and has become a major story line the last little while. What's really baffling is that they continue to try the same thing. Isn't that the definition of insanity?

Anyway, I'd go with Leclaire again next game and hope that he can find a bit of a rhythm.

Nice to see Cheechoo get one late!

Until tomorrow...

leclaire played horrible last night, as he has the past few nights, he makes all the hard saves and seem like there are going to go in, and then someone lobs the puck on nets and it somehow end up in the back of our nets. It seems to me that he is doing too much guessing an not enough good positioning, and he is guessing wrong an awful lot, like on that backstrom goal last night, there is no way he should have bit that hard on that wrap around, it was horrible
