Default Official Ottawa Senators Chat Thread

I thought we could use a place for just general Senators discussion. You can use this thread to talk about our team, their future, random trade proposals, line ups you'd like to see, etc.

You can also share any video clips, or pictures of the team if you'd like.

Also, please try to keep the Diva out of this thread, he has his own special stickied thread for that because he's a F**CKING ALL-STAR!

If I was coach here's what my lineup would look like:

Foligno-Spezza-Alfredsson
Heatley-Fisher-Kovalev
Ruutu-Kelly-Shannon
Regin-Winchester-Neil
Donovan

Kuba-Lee
Phillips-Volchenkov
Campoli-Picard

Leclaire
Elliott

My reasoning for splitting up the Heatley-Spezza-Alfredsson line isn't because of Heatley's trade request. Ottawa now has four stars on this team, so I think we should roll even offense on both of them. Foligno adds grit to the top line.

with all the talks about the Diva, nobody mentioned the fact that Sens have really made a commitment to Kovalev...they are using his face on alot of promo stuff.....

My lineup is almost identical Brandon. I totally agree about your reasoning for moving Heatley to the second line. We'd finally have two really good lines instead of just one.

With that reasoning, you dumped Schubert...and Smith (which is probably what's gonna end up happening).

Yeah. I knew that I left Smith out of the lineup (because I don't see him playing with the Sens again) but I completely forgot about Schubert. I think he'll be waived, and if he has to, play in Binghamton (I'm sure somebody would pick him up, though. A cheap player who can play forward and defense).

If only he would appreciate that he can earn ice time by playing a forward role...he would be a great asset. His mind is set on being a D..thats too bad....

EPIC.

I love how the ref was stuck in the middle of most of them.

I've got a special attachment to Schubert after talking with him at the Tampa game.

Even as a forward, I don't think he's got much of a chance with our team unfortunately. If Neil wouldn't have re-signed, I think Schubert would've had a much better chance. However, that's not to say I'd rather have Schubert than Neil.

Even if its not with the Sens..I still think he would be a more effective forward than he believes.

At the last Sens game I went to in Ottawa, I was walking through the hall going to buy a drink and ran into Spartacat and he gave me a high five. It was pretty awesome

I had him sitting beside me, in the stairs at one of the games I went to see.
