wow, haven't been on this forum for a while. I moved back in Japan and it was busy for couple weeks but now I'm ready for hockey
I could only watch it on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 8AM (since that will make it 7PM in Ottawa)...which kinda sucks
Anyways GO SENS GO!

The first 2 cuts of the pre-season have been made this afternoon
Jakob Culek will go back to Rimouski of the QMJHL, and Mark Stone is assigned to Brandon of the WHL. The roster is now at 48 players.

How come? People were saying he should be on Team Canada last season...I'm not saying he is overrated, but IMO he isn't underrated as well.
Anyhow if he plays like the first half of last season, hands down 2nd line.

From Spector:
OTTAWA SUN/OTTAWA CITIZEN/TSN.CA: reported earlier this afternoon Senators general manager Bryan Murray told reporters today he's looking at shaking up his struggling roster, and is currently considering a trade, having spoken with several teams, one of which is the Minnesota Wild, as Murray admitted speaking with Wild GM Chuck Fletcher. Murray admits a trade might not answer all his club's problems but it could help to shake things up. He also said his biggest disappointment thus far has been his team's defensive play.
SPECTOR'S NOTE: If Murray is going to make a deal he'll have to make the cap dollars fit. According to CapGeek.com he's got about $422K in available cap space, so a trade will have to be close to a dollar-for-dollar swap, as it's unlikely he'll be able to move more salary the other way. The Wild meanwhile have about $1.15 million in available space. If Murray is looking to bolster his defense the Wild have some, like Brent Burns, Nick Schultz and Cam Barker, who might be of interest but it remains to be seen if Wild GM Chuck Fletcher is willing to part with one of them. Looking at the Senators lineup I don't see a lot there which Murray could move, other than perhaps to make a cosmetic change. Mind you, the Wild and Canadiens swapped underachieving forwards last season and it worked out for the Wild (Guillaume Latendresse), so maybe they might have interest in Peter Regin or Nick Foligno? Again, the dollars would have to work out. Should be interesting to see what Murray does.
