Default Jack Campbell

Anyone that watched the World Juniors knows exactly who this guy is. At this past WJC tournament, he was the USA's starting goaltender.

At just 17 years old, he won the gold medal. He's draft eligible this year, I just want to get some opinions on where you guys think he'll end up being drafted and what you think of his play.

Personally, he looks like one of the most calm and poised young goaltenders in a while. He allowed two goals in the final two minutes vs Team Canada in the medal game, but he kept his cool, made key saves in overtime, and thus, helped Team USA win the gold medal.

He also looks like he can be a very solid number one goaltender in the NHL in the future. I've expressed how much I like him so far (I want the Canadiens to draft this guy), I want to get your thoughts on him. What are your opinions on the 17 year old goaltender, Jack Campbell?

Umm, well I thought he was great but he actually wasn't USA's starting goalie. He started 2 round robin games against Switzerland and Canada, Lee started the other 2 against Slovakia and Latvia, Lee also started all 3 medal round games against Finland, Sweden and Canada, only to be pulled in favor of Campbell in the gold medal game. Of course, Campbell was spectacular after being put in. He showed a lot of composure throughout the tournament and, as I said before, I thought he was hands down the best puck-handling goalie in the tournament. Made a few pretty spectacular saves too.

He'll be picked in the first round for sure. Its been a few years since a goalie has been picked in the top 15 but I wouldn't be surprised a all if Campbell is.

Late 2nd, early 3rd round is my guess.
