With the apparent injury to Cammalleri I figure Montreal will try to make a trade to bring in a top 6 forward to fill the void.

Who the **** is Mike Komisarek?
Reporter: What do you like about Ryan O'Byrne?
Andrei Markov: That's a tough question.
Reporter: Do you miss Mike Komisarek?
Andrei Markov: Is he here in this room? I have no memory of him.

I have never seen Montreal fans welcome PK Subban the way they did tonight for any other rookie. It was amazing.

Pretty clear that after this season is over, we need to get a real GM that has a long-term plan for this club, and we need to add toughness... big time. This weekend vs Philadelphia in both games was the perfect example of why we need to add toughness. We're no Washington Capitals where we have so much skill we don't need toughness, we need toughness.

The Canadiens have introduced a "Live Help" service at home games. Fans can use their cellphones to to text a message about "any concern" to the team help line.
Michael Hollander tried during last night's game:
I texted the new "Habs Help Line" tonight. They said to text if you're having a problem at the game.
My text: "Help! The team sucks! What do I do?"
Reply: "Unfortunately, this service does not provide that type of service."
Anyone have Pierre Gauthier's number?

BTW, everything in the article in the link is 100% true. The team needs some ****ing toughness.

Off-season:
Re-Sign:
-Maxim Lapierre
-Benoit Pouliot
-Tommy Pyatt
-Dominic Moore
-One of Price or Halak (depends on the price each is asking)
Trade:
-Roman Hamrlik at draft
-Tomas Plekanec at draft
-Kostitsyn bros (too inconsistent)
-Whichever goalie we don't re-sign
Allow to Walk:
-Mathieu Darche
-Paul Mara
-Marc-Andre Bergeron
-Glen Metropolit
Now, what I mean about re-signing one of the goalies is all dependent on the asking price. Halak is having a great playoff run, with the exception of the past two games vs Philadelphia, and his value is sky high right about now, he could demand about 4-4.5 million. Carey Price has been good this year as well, the team just didn't play well in front of him. Of all his losses this year during the season, the team scored an astounding 1.96 GF/G.
If Halak, who has sky high value, demands 4 million, but Carey Price, who has the potential to be a franchise goaltender, demands 2.5-3 million a year, who do you re-sign? Halak would be the safe bet, but Price has so much potential as well.

Rayzor is psychic !!!
But I'm fine with that prediction. Flyers VS Hawks in the finale.
I'm fine with the Stanley Cup as much as the habs and Heatley/Thornton doesn't hoist the Cup.

Habs finally solved Leighton, and I think just scoring one goal on him will continue the Habs explosion. As Josh Gorges said the other day: "just knowing it's not impossible to score on him gives us a boost"

They do have an interesting goaltending situation on thier hands. Very curious to see what they'll do. They won't be able to trade Plekanec, unless they trade his rights, which wouldn't be better than a 4th round pick. Who has the money to take on Hamrlik's contract? And who would want the Kostitsyn brothers and all the trouble that seems to follow them? Oh and don't forget the Laraque buyout.
Also, I don't see why it wouldn't be possible for them to sign both Price and Halak. They are both RFA, give them both short-term deals for less money and tell them they have to earn a big contract. Say, 3.5 for one year for Halak and 2.25 for two years for Price and see what happens. This would mean Plekanec walks for sure, unless they do manage to trade Hamrlik and/or Kostitsyn. Either way they have some juggling to do.
And yes, they do need a new GM. I wonder if Paul Fenton is actually looking to leave Nashville to be the number one guy somewhere or if that's just rumors. Montreal is probably looking for a fench-Canadien guy though. There is always the possibility of Jacques Martin taking over management duties and finding a new coach. Or else Doug Risebrough is availlable, he is a Montreal Canadien alumni.

I think we'll be able to get a decent return for Plekanec. If we throw in a prospect like Ben Maxwell, I think we could get a second. Or a package like Plekanec + 1st to Florida for their 2nd and 5th or something like that. Hamrlik was actually good in the playoffs after he called himself out in the Washington series, and with one year left on his contract, I wouldn't think it'd be hard to trade him to another team for a 2nd round pick. We need the cap space. Same goes for the Kostitsyn's. Them together won't get much of a return, but when they're on their game, they're great, talented players. Only problem is consistently getting them on their game. Who knows what the potential return could be? It won't be much, but I just want to get rid of these guys.
Cap space. We just can't afford both of them. I think we have like 10 million or something and we need to re-sign a few players. Halak has earned a big contract. Came up huge in every series except the Philadelphia one (1st round: .939 SV%, 2nd round: .927 SV%, 3rd round: .884 SV%), and even then, he still made some great saves and most of the goals after the first two games were pretty shitty goals. Carey Price had a great run in the fall. In the month of November, he had a SV% of about .940 for a month consistently, and even tied a Habs record for most saves in a game at 54 against the Nashville Predators. This was at the time the Habs had offensive troubles though and lost 2-0 or something. Carey Price also had a great run post-Olympic until he ran in to Anaheim and allowed 3 goals in the first period, where Halak stepped in an ran with it from there. Both goalies are capable, and which ever one we re-sign will be a win situation for us. However, the problem is, who are we going to sign, and at what cost?
Pierre Boivon being the idiotic jackass he is is only going to hire a francophone GM. ****ing moron doesn't care if the team wins, as long as there are franco's in management. This is why we couldn't have a guy like Steve Yzerman step in as general manager and have a capable coach like Peter Laviolette step in when we could've gotten him before the Habs signed Jacques Martin. Only positive is we have Guy Boucher in the minors, head coaching the Hamilton Bulldogs and is looking real good. Problem being now that teams are interested in his services and we face the unfortunate risk of losing him this summer. Columbus has been watching him. God I hope we keep him.

How can they trade Plekanec when he is not signed? To my knowledge, only his rights to negociate with a specific team can be "traded". He has no contract value, other than his rights to trade for.

You trade the negotiating rights. Like Florida did with Jay Bo at the draft last year. They traded his negotiating rights to the Flames for Jordan Leopold's negotiating rights.
