Ryan Miller up to Jan 19 = (7 games under .900 SV%) 41 games played, 27-9-1, 2.00 / .936, 5 so's

Ryan Miller since Jan 21st = (5 games under .900 SV%) 8 games played, 2-5-1, 2.96 / .901, 0 so's

I think Miller is starting to cool down. As are the Sabres. Their 13 point lead over Ottawa a few weeks ago is now a clinging 1 point lead.

Oh, and 0-3-1 vs Ottawa this season.

Not surprised...I knew this was gonna happen sooner or later.

Miller after all may be a great goaltender, but he can't change the whole team. Only Connoly, Kennedy, and Kaleta are playing well this season. Vanek and Pomminville aren't playing up to their expectation while Roy is just...

And hey don't have any big names in defence except there rookie, Tyler Myers.

Sabres aren't a good team, they won't go that far in the playoffs.

Poor Montalo (JK)!

Apparently Ruff refused an offer he received in the fall....I guess maybe he wanted to see what would happen with the potential sale before accepting, cause he was quoted as saying he really wanted to remain with the Sabres.

I think they need Ruff for sure. Guy is a legendary coach to get his team to compete every season with limited resources. If you think about it, the only players they've sunk big money into are Miller and Vanek.

It sure would take some getting use to..if he was to end up coaching somewhere else after all these years. I think the new owner(s) would be fools to not reach an agreement with him.

Ruff WILL be back, according to new owner Terry Pegula

New Sabres owner says Ruff will stay, vows to spend money

...man, this guy as an owner comes across as really passionate. The team (and the town) definitely needs someone like him to run it.

Yeah, definitely an exciting time for Sabres fans.

New spending on player and personnel trainers and assistants, heavy investment into scouting, no more budget caps for the GM.. and all from a guy who is a huge Sabres fan.
