Now that Mtl has clinched...I guess I would prefer the Flyers to win this afternoon..that way, they would bump Mtl to 8th place and the Habs would face the Caps in the 1st round
Sooo Go Flyers!!!!

He has like a 14 team list. I know there's Montreal, Washington, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, San Jose, Chicago, Vancouver and LA.
Personally, I only cheer for the Sens.

I don't think he likes the Flyers per say...he likes Emery and would cheer any team he's playing for. ....but I could be wrong.

Nope, him and I had a going argument about why I was supposedly crazy to have the Flyers JUST making the Playoffs.

Yeah but does he really like the Flyers or he just believed Emery was reason enough for the Flyers to win it all?

Here's some of it, but most of the discussion happened in another thread:

Flyers are 2-0-0 so far to start the season.
James Van Riemsdyk leads the team with 3 points, all assists.
Jeff Carter and Mike Richards are tied for the team lead with 2 goals each.
Ray Emery has a 1.00 GAA and a .963 SV% with 1 shutout.
It's the Flyers year this year.
Defense = Stellar.
Offense = Still stellar.
Goaltending = Better than last year, and with the D, it's pretty damn awesome.

The Flyers are really going to feel the losses of Luca Sbisa, Joffrey Lupul, and Mike Knuble. I don't think Pronger and Kaspar are worth it. Also, I honestly think Emery and Boucher are a downgrade on Nittymaki and Biron.
The offense isn't stellar. Carter and Richards are GREAT players, but after Gagne, Briere, and Hartnell, it's pretty thin. That would be fine normally, but how long will Gagne and/or Briere last? I hope neither of them go down - and if they don't, I agree, watch out - but I'm betting at least one of them will.
Of course Pronger, Timonen, Coburn, and Carle form a nice corps, but let's not overate them.
A lot rests in the hands of Ray Emery. We should all reserve our judgment on whether or not that's a good thing.
For the Flyers to really have success though, you're going to want to see these names on the scoresheet, because the aforementioned guys can't do it alone against teams like Boston, Pittsburgh, Washington, and New York - Claude Giroux, Darroll Powe, Lukas Kaspar, James Van Riemsdyk, and Kevin Marshall.

From what I read, he believed in the Flyers potential...*specially Emery* and was cheering for that team mainly because of Emery. I don't think he is a Flyers fan (but then again, I haven't read all his posts on the subject). Anyways, who cares, he's not here to talk about it.
I'm cheering for the Flyers mainly because I want to see the Habs get their ass kicked by the Caps in the 1st round
*I guess I'm also going with the fact that until Emery left the Sens, he never mentionned he was a Habs fan. He follows Emery where ever he goes.

Pretty good pre-season analysis here Josh. Last season's tandem was actually better than Emery + Boucher, though it is based on injuries, it's what happened. Both Biron and Niittymaki has great seasons in NYI and TBL while right now no one of those two or Emery or Boucher is playing in the finals. Stalemate.
Don't know what happened to Kaspar but Pronger was worth it. Sbisa will be a great young dman for Anaheim, but Lupul is a streaky forward who a Cup finalist wouldn't have and they don't. Knuble.... I think if Knuble somehow was kept in Philly along with their acquisitions, I would be more confident in their capabilities against the Hawks. But that's a sacrifice Holmgren had to make for the cap.

Big depth contributions helped the Flyers. Giroux and van Riemsdyk have been great on the 3RD line, guys like Carcillo, Powe, Laperriere, Asham and Betts all made an impact depth-wise when it mattered. And they battled back from injuries...

Ye, they're a great D corps. One of, if not the best in the East, top 5 league-wide.
Emery was a flop because he got injured. They had 7 goalies in the end so that didn't pay off... but they're in the finals because people have stepped up when needed.

Umm...no, not true. He was a big flop, and then no one wanted to take him at the deadline, which was the strategy all along
Biron this year - 9-14-4, 0.896 save percentage, 3.27 GAA

Sucks too. Emery's injury probably killed his hopes of getting a new contract with the Flyers. I really think if Emery didn't get injured, the Flyers would win the Cup this year.
