Steven Stamkos records his 35th goal tonight in 61 games. He is five goals away from getting 40 goals in only his second year in the NHL.
GO STAMKOS!

Anaheim is leading the Oilers 3-1, almost halfway through 2nd.
Getzlaf has two assists (one on Perry's goal and one on Neidermayer's)

Guess that means Getzlaf will play in the Olympics. I'm still not sure if he's 100% though, luckily, he'll be evaluated by Team Canada medical staff tomorrow morning when he gets to Vancouver.

Flying to Vancouver for no reason at all unless Team Canada medical staff finds something wrong with Getzlaf that'll prevent him from taking part in the Olympic games. You're right, does suck to be Jeff Carter.

Dunno, but Richards was responsible for the hit that put Booth out long-term so that goes to explain that one...

Yes, yes, now that you mention that, I remember clearly...
Is this their 1st meeting since? Wasn't that back in late Nov or early Dec?
EDIT: never mind, they just spoke about it on the panel (TSN). Booth missed 45 games because of that hit. They also agreed unanymously that Booth will probably have gained alot of respect throughout the league for fighting back on the 1st occasion he got.

Florida is now leading 6-3 at the end of the 2nd period.
Booth has 3 pts (1G, 2As).. I guess his teammates are just as motivated as him to give it to the Flyers
