Default Black out

The game tonight is a black out for me in Eastern Ontario on srortsnet. This is the first time that the viewers are unable to watch the Senators at home. Goes to show you what a winning streak does Lucky for me that I am headed to the game and I will post anything of great interest in the morning. No pictures due to it not being a big hit here.

That is so bad! I will listen to it on the radio!

I had for a brief moment GameCentre on NHL.com... and then realized almost ALL sens games are blacked out! What a stinking rip off! Its not like I live in Ottawa.

Why do they black out the games!?

We are blacked out because we are in KW, which is considered to be Leafs territory.

Even though the Leafs aren't playing tonight, this is designed to make sure that people who live in the market of their team aren't being cut into with other team's marketing and games.

In short, they are trying to convert us to Leafs fans because we live near Toronto.

Oh I know... but I"m not even close to toronto (ok close, but not there!!!). I shouldn't be forced to cheer for a certain team.... grrrrrrr.....

I'm actually taping the game tonight on RDS (which isn't blacked out but has French voiceovers all over it)

Well something was screwy last night for sure. First off the guide on my pvr for chanel 846 sportsnet said that the game started at 7 pm and when I tried to record it I got the black out message. Further to that upon leaving I glanced at my ticket that showed the game was starting at 7:30. I can’t tell you if the problem lies with Bell or with sportsnet but this is twice in as many weeks that they screwed us over. Sorry for any misleading information.
