But thats ok, its a soft rub on the Sen after we watched the Leafs drag their ares through their worst season in recent history.
Whats with ****ing out everything? I know censorship and moderating here is extreme to say the least, but a sports fan forum censoring common used cuss words that go hand in hand with sports and fandom is political correctiveness to the extreme. **** **** ****

I'm not saying that was the ONLY reason the Leafs played the way they did. But when something big like that comes out, it will effect people... and will probably cause people to play that little bit harder (of course not always, but it definitely can).
I mean, the reason that Leafs won, was because they played their heart out for the entire game, they didn't just drop the ball after the first period, and the sens never really fought back. But you have to think that some of these guys have some heart and the fact that someone on their team (gm or not) is dealing with a shitty situation would give them a little extra heart to play well.

Ok.
I have several points of contention with this:
- It was uncalled for to voice this sort of opinion here
- It's insulting to people who do have a personal connection to the family and the team
- Quite frankly, I personally disagree with you
Having been in a similar situation before (a teammate's mother died, hours before a game we played, in an accident) I know for a fact that we did rally around as a team and go out there that night to show our teammate that we were there for him. And no, I didn't know the guy's mother personally, I wasn't even friends with the guy outside of our team, but that didn't matter.
JS Giguere, who has a history working with Brian Burke back in Anaheim and even spent some time working with Brendan (who was a goalie), expressed that it meant a lot to him to go out there and give this one all he had for Burkie and his family. In my personal opinion, having watched the game, you could see the effort level from the Leafs far outweighed the effort level from the Sens. Is that ALL because of this tragic event? No. But I believed it was a factor. Just the same as the vocal crowd was a factor and the early goal was a factor.
I respect your ability to have your own opinions, but there's no need to express them in such a "sensationalist" manner (to borrow a term) that can only feasibly cause disruption and negative reactions from other members here.
And with regards to how you talk about the Leafs...I get it. You don't like them. Never will like them, that's cool. I'm not their biggest fan either. But if you're willing to dish it out like that, then you have to be willing to take it back. And the fact is, tonight, in a fair match between the Leafs and the Sens, we got our arses kicked, big time. There's no need to insult others because they happen to have enjoyed tonight's game, based on the fact they are Leafs fans.
In short:

Moderation to the extreme HAH! Get over yourself please, this site isn't "Moderated to the extreme" or anywhere close. Try getting away with this over at SAC and let me know how it works for you
The reason we have the censored words is for things like ignorant rants. I'm sorry you can't express a point without using dirty words, perhaps http://thesaurus.reference.com/ could be of assistance.

Dude you need to get a new hobby! Being a hockey fan is not agreeing with you at all. If this is how you feel after your team loses, you got issues, huge issues.

did some research for the benefit of all
**** - no match
**** - make love
shit - bowel movement
Bastard - illegitimate
asshole - no results
prick - stab
bitch- complain
canal - waterway
par exemple
That make loving no match Chris Neil plays hockey like a make loving bowel movement. He is nothing more than a make loving illegitimate who does nothing but act like a no results. I don't see why you have that stab on your team to begin with because he is a make loving complain who fears Colton Orr.
Anyways, is there any ice on the waterway?

I have been involved in a few forums over the years and this one is by far the most fun. It is lightly censored even though it has its risky moments. I also was surprised to see the members involved in this forum who post delightful and intelligent comments here that are still in grade school. I am not a moderator here but I am an elder and Droc I find you to be very immature in your conduct at the best of times. If you intend to be the class clown here learn from 13 the clown with class.
The Senators were simply out reffed and out played on Saturday evening. A good win for the New Leafs. You now when your team has had a bad night when Cheechoo showed up as the best player in white.
