Hurricanes @ Sens 7:00 PM ET CBC
Venues: Scotiabank Place, Kanata
Time: 7:00
TV: CBC
Radio: Team1200
Carolina Hurricanes
(7-18-6, 20 PTS)
Top 3 Canes
Ray Whitney 8G 12A = 20pts
Tuomo Ruutu 7G 11A = 18pts
Jussi Jokinen 7G 11A = 18pts
Starting goalie: Cam Ward
Injuries: Eric Cole, Chad Larose, Joe Corvo
@
Ottawa Senators
(15-11-4, 34 PTS)
Top 3 Sens
Daniel Alfredsson 9G 19A = 28pts
Mike Fisher 13G 12A = 25pts
Milan Michalek 15G 6A = 21pts
Starting goalie: Brian Elliott
Injuries: Pascal Leclaire, Chris Neil, Shean Donovan, Alex Picard(game time decision)
Quote:
Last 10: Carolina 3-6-1; Ottawa 4-5-1
Season series: First of four meetings this season. The teams split their 2008-09 matchups, with the home team winning each time. Three different players scored two goals each, but two of them are no longer with that team (Dany Heatley, Ottawa; Anton Babchuk, Carolina) and the other is on injured reserve (Joe Corvo, Carolina).
Big story: Neither of these teams has had an easy go of it lately, but the Senators are in a much stronger position, sitting just four points off the Northeast Division lead and looking forward to playing nine of their next 13 games on home ice. The Hurricanes are still 30th in the League by a seven-point margin and 12 points out of an Eastern Conference playoff berth.

Great job with the GDT Jas. Wow, we're only four points out of the NE division lead? That's good!
Elliott is starting and Picard is in for Campoli. While I agree with Picard being back in the lineup, I dunno about scratching Campoli. He was playing pretty good.

It will be interesting to see if we do better on the PP with picard back. Could be really bad news for campoli. Picard still has a lot to prove to me though, i still find him a liability imo

Hurricanes have only won 1 road game this year so I like our odds.
Also Sens are wearing the black jerseys tonight.

All the juggling has made Michalek's run and chemistry off.
I expect him to bounce back tonight on the scoresheet with at least 2 points.
