Default Lehner to start vs Bruins

One year to the day since Ottawa goaltender Robin Lehner recorded his only NHL shutout at TD Garden against the Boston Bruins, he will get a chance to repeat that feat.

Lehner is scheduled to make his Senators season debut Thursday against the Bruins, coach Paul MacLean confirmed after his team's morning skate. This season with Binghamton of the American Hockey League, Lehner posted a 2.12 goals-against average and .938 save percentage.

Ehh, I wasn't all that impressed with him. Boston had only a couple of good scoring chances all game. The 1-0 goal was brutal, you've gotta seal that ice off, that's fundamentals.

He certainly wasn't terrible overall but I don't think he had a great game either.

In all fairness, on the 1-0 goal, lehner had his stick there and alfi tried to bat the puck away and hit lehners stick away from the puck.

The second goal was tipped

He's playing pretty good to start the year. I don't think he's quite played as good as his .948SV% suggests, but he's had a good start to the year.

Agree with the bold especially.

He hasn't been terrible at all...but I don't think he's ready to be a starter.
