Crosby has stopped diving and whining. He obviously does it the odd time but most NHL players dive/whine at some point.

I used to hate Crosby for that reason, but I have to admit, last year and this he has really come into his own and is playing like a man for once.
Downie is a retard.

You're right, he hasn't whined as much as he did in the past.

I have alot more respect for crosby this year. As he hasn't seemed to whine sooo much! And I like that!
Either way though, Jas is right --- no matter what people think of Crosby, that play was DIRTY!!!!

Being me... A Penguin loving girl... I want Steve Downie to die a painful and horrible death b/c he keeps getting chance after chance. And for all you who say the officials love Sid. Downie got a roughing call for getting into it with Kennedy afterwards. I mean he had this grin on his face. That's not right. He shouldn't have gotten another chance. I don't like watching it. The expression on Sid's face is just that of excruciating pain. I want the NHL to get rid of this guy after all he's done to players and officials.

Yeah he has. And that wasn't milked at all. I was taken down similarly in a game but the guy got tripped up and slid under me. I tore my groin. Idk if anyone here has torn their groin... It makes you puke it hurts so bad. I've had a lot of hockey injuries including shattering my kneecap but nothing hurt like tearing my groin. And it still hasn't healed after 2 and a half years. People like Downie need to go. They give this game a bad wrap with people who don't really follow it. I don't want the game I love and so many people love to be looked at in a bad light cuz of guys like Downie and the league not doing anything.

Totally agree
But Downie is an dumb@ss, he doesn't know what he's doing.
We need Chara to teach that guy a lesson again

So if Ovechkin would have hit Downie into the boards?

i tore my groin playing softball. i was running as fast as i could andi stretched too far trying to get to first base and by groin just made a "pop" sound and i was in excrusiating pain for about 2 hours. i can still feel the effects of it when im running to this day, i did that about 2 years ago when i was in pewee, now im in midgit. i lost alot of speed in running because of it

Yeah it's the worst pain I've ever been in. And it took my forever to get to the point where I could really skate again w/o regretting it afterwards. Yeah I play softball too and I lost a lot of speed. And I wasn't too fast to begin with so it really hurt me.

If Ovie got 2 games for his hit (which I feel was lenient) there's no reason Downie shouldn't get 20.

I think it's b/c he didn't seriously injure Crosby... If he would've broken Crosby's leg he would be out for the season. It's sad. The NHL needs to get their sh** together and not let players get away with things like this.

Throw the little prick out of the NHL,,, that is FULL INTENT to injure, Unsportsmanlike conduct, whatever you want to call it,,,
ONE day he is seriously going to hurt someone,,, or someone is going to catch him with his head down and he won't be waking up...
I'd seriously like to see him and Avery beat the shit out of eachother until they both sustain career ending injuries

I'm just afraid he'll cause another Bertuzzi/Moore incident on a star player. The NHL can't have another one of those.
