First playoff scenario of the 2009-10 season...

The Washington Capitals (idle) would clinch the Southeast Division tonight if the Atlanta Thrashers lose (regulation or OT/SO) at Columbus.

If the Thrashers win, the Capitals would still clinch an Eastern Conference playoff berth if the Montreal Canadiens lose in regulation to the Edmonton Oilers.

I hope they lose... I really dislike the Caps a lot.

Since the Capitals clinched the Southeast Division, they are guaranteed a playoff spot. Either 1st, 2nd or 3rd.

Why?

Caps are a better team, thats why they clinched the playoffs spot this early...before the pens.

But pens are better made in overall, if you take out the offensive part, caps are kinda crappy...
