Habs may be really f***ed over: Benoit Pouliot maybe injured
CKAC reports Benoit Pouliot MAY have injured his hand in the game last night vs the Rangers during a fight between himself and Wade Redden.
More info should be available soon.
My thoughts. Someone put a ****ing curse on us. Probably our best player for the past few games, and now he's gone. WTF are our lines going to be?
Cammalleri-Plekanec-D'Agostini
Pacioretty-Gomez-Gionta
Moen-Metropolit-Lapierre
White-Pyatt-Laraque
****ing great! Just great!

That does suck if its true --- Pouliot has been looking amazing the last few games! So that would really suck for the Habs. Although, not sure if its a curse. Lots of teams have lost their best player, and then some.

If the injury is serious, I think there is a very good chance the Canadiens could drop all the way down to 5th overall.
Depending on when Sergei K and Andrei K return.

We lost Alfredsson, Michalek, Spezza and Foligno all at once.
So far you have A.Kost gone thats like saying Michalek for us
And this poul guy saying like Foligno for us somewhat.
When you loose Plekanec and Cammalleri than you can start complaining like us.
We suffered WAYYYYYYY more horrific injuries than you guys. Just goes to show which is the more deeper team.

^ Markov out 35 games.
Gionta out 23 games.
A Kost out until mid-March.
And now we'll see about Pouli.
Plus, Hamrlik, Spacek, Mara, Gill, O'Byrne, Metropolit, Gomez, etc... have been hit with injuries at a time or another earlier this season. And Pouliot is better than Foligno IMO. Folgino is good, but Pouli is better, at least from my perspective as a Habs fan.
And BTW, we're (Hab fans) the first to admit our scoring depth is shit after the top 6.

Got word from MAG that Pouliot said he was fine after the game, but had a bruise on his hand -- but it didn't seem serious.

Doesn't matter anyways, he'll likely get fired after this year if the team doesn't get to the playoffs, or most likely, 'resign' from the position if the Habs don't make the playoffs -- and there is a very good chance of them not making the playoffs this year, even if they are still in the race up to this point.
But if they pick Connolly, I'd be pretty disappointed.

Mathieu Darche was recalled from Hamilton of the AHL. I guess we're going to see Pouliot out for this game.
Help!
Wouldn't be surprised to see the Habs claim Sykora.
Good news, Sergei Kostitsyn will be back this weekend and Ryan O'Byrne will be back tomorrow!

We lost
Leclaire, Neil, Donovan, Spezza, Michalek, Alfie, Foligno, Volchenkov, Winchester to long term
Kuba, Picard (not sure), Fisher, and so many more I can't even remember to short term.
We also lost Kovalev for few games because he went back to Russia.
We pretty much lost almost all the best players to long-term injury. Many of those injury were 2 weeks ~ 2 month.
I don't know who is better Pouilot dude or Foligno, but I known that Foligno works his @ss of more than him.

Pouliot is also likely to be in the lineup tomorrow, so it was just a bruise on his hand, nothing more.
Lines look like this (from practice):
Pouliot-Gomez-Gionta
Cammalleri-Plekanec-D'Agostini/Darche
Moen-Lapierre-Pacioretty
Bergeron-Metropolit-Laraque
Markov-Gorges
Spacek-Hamrlik
Gill-O'Byrne
Mara a healthy scratch tomorrow night
