Default Mike Cammalleri and Josh Gorges get in to altercation at Habs practice

Chamaillage à l'entraînement - Hockey - Maintenant, c’est Corus Sports !

Translated (from google translator):

(Corus Sports) - Michael Cammalleri threw the gloves and we attended a meeting in training chamaillage Canadiens on Friday morning at the Sports Complex Bell Brossard.

Josh Gorges was the one to whom Cammalleri has demonstrated the aggressiveness. Both have experienced a spat during a year. Kirk Muller was involved in the conversation. The whole thing degenerated into an altercation during which both players are flies, casts before Cammalleri gloves. They were immediately separated.

The workout ended with the two belligerents in center ice, guiding stretching upon adjournment.

Matt D'Agostini was involved in a full workout since he suffered a concussion, October 30 last.

He was then struck in the head by the shoulder shot of Andrew Ladd in early game against the Blackhawks in Chicago. Ladd's feet left the ice at the time of contact with Agostini, who skated with bowed head as he tried to leave his area. Ladd was not sentenced to suspended following the incident.

Jaroslav Spacek joined Matt D'Agostini before the start of the meeting to make a few laps of ice.

Here the training practice Friday morning:

Forwards:

Michael Cammalleri - Tomas Plekanec - Sergei Kostitsyn

Travis Moen - Glen Metropolit - Max Pacioretty

Tom Pyatt - Maxim Lapierre - Ryan White

James Wyman - Kyle Chipchura - Matt D'Agostini

Georges Laraque was also present.

Defenders:

Jaroslav Spacek - Josh Gorges

Marc-Andre Bergeron - Ryan O'Byrne

Roman Hamrlik - Paul Mara

Jay Leach has also resulted.

More details to come ...

From Habs Inside/Out.

The highlight of practice in Brossard as a pushing and shoving match between teammates Mike Cammalleri and Josh Gorges with Maxim Lapierre serving as a peacemaker.

"We talked about having an intense practice," said Gorges while Camalleri dismissd the incident as "part of the game.

The good news on the injury front was the return of defenceman Jaroslav Spacek. And Matt D'Agostini practiced with his teammates for the first time since he was decked by Chicago's Andrew Ladd on Oct. 30. He's not suffering any more concusssion-like symptoms but he won't face the Washington Capitals tomorrow because he's still suffering from a knee injury - the result of the same collision with Ladd.

Spacek, Ryan O'Byrne and Roman Hamrlik are all wearing extra protection over their skates and Hal Gill, who has resumed skating but is still out with a broken foot, will also wear the kevlar guards when he returns.

Personally, I love stuff like this. Shows the players have passion. Another reason why I think Mike Cammalleri should be captain. Great leadership, and it's shown a lot on the ice this year.

That is a brutal translation from Google........ let me see what I can do with the most important part of the French article.

Edit:

Quote:

Cammalleri lost his temper when discussing the game with Josh Gorges. The two were arguing during an exercise so Kirk Muller joined the conversation. It turned into an altercation, nothing serious until Cammalleri dropped the gloves. They were immediatly separated. The morning training ended with the both of them standing in the middle of the ice, leading the rest of the group to stretching exercices....

End of story, no big deal
