My list of things to do in Australia...
Posted 07-22-2009 at 10:39 PM by Matt the Aussie
Well, as all of you SHOULD know by now, my name is Matt, and I'm an Aussie.
I have saved up the holiday time and the money to go back to Australia with Mrs MTA in late November for 3 weeks. It's the first time we'll be back in Australia as an engaged couple - my mother is already planning the party!
What I am hoping to do here is make a list of things I want to do when I go back, and you guys can comment on it like "great idea" or "wow, that's exciting"...or even suggest things for me.
Who knows, maybe I'll even post a couple of pics of me doing the things when I get back...
Anyways,
1. Eat a meat pie - now I've discussed this before, it's a big deal for me because they are just so common in Australia and I had no idea they don't exist here in Canada.
2. Go to the beach and bodysurf - I haven't been surfing in SO long, very much looking forward to it.
3. Immerse myself back in Australian accents - it's really weird, I watch clips from Aussie TV now and it's really jarring to what I'm used to here.
I'll add to it as I think of more things and if your suggestions are good enough

Not proper Aussie meat pie, Rayzor - go and read that thread about cheese that Stylizer started and you'll know what I mean.
Mr Skippy, I honestly have no clue what you're talking about! Lol, there's a bridge in Brisbane where the lanes open and close depending on the time of day and how busy it is...but I have no idea what you mean about the median?Posted 07-23-2009 at 03:32 PM by Matt the Aussie
