So now what? San Jose? or are we going to have to watch him report to training camp likely with the attitude nothing EVER happend? OR does another team emerge as a player for the spoiled brat! I'll explore this and see what I can come up with.
We all heard the Minnesota and Columbus Rumors, but other than a brief interest from the Rangers no one has really shown any interest.
Buffalo: Unlikely since we are in the same division but I'd trade him for a First Rounder. Pominville and a prospect! maybe give them Gator or Kelly
Dallas Stars: A trade with Dallas could land us Ericsson, Ott, Brunnstrum, Ribiero, or James Neal. Word is they are trying to trade Brad Richards, cap dump to go after Heatley??? I believe they may emerge as a player for Heatley
Colorado: has Hejduk, Wolski, Svatos, or youngster Ryan Stoa. Not really much in the pot there, but Hejduk and Wolski would be nice. Don't be surprised if they also emerge as a front runner for Heatley
Minnesota: We all know they will NOT part with Brent Burns which SUCKS! but, there is some talent there that could help us. play maker P-M Bouchard, Cal Clutterbuck who would HAVE to be part of a deal IMO, LMAO Havlat??? Riiiggghhhhttt Owen Nolan for leadership and grit? or Marek Zidlicky?
San Jose: They have to clear cap and make room, until then its not going to happen with them! Setoguchi, Clowe, Vlasic, Pavelski, Michalek, Couture or McGinn 2 former Ottawa 67! Word is Ottawa loves Michalek.
Calgary: Well only chance at him landing there is if we get Phaneuf.... Unlikely but I still come across the odd rumor from NHL sources that suggest its a possibility and will benefit both teams.
Columbus: They continue to insist they are NOT interested,, I think they are just saying that. If I'm Howsen and have seen first hand what Heatley can do playing with Rick Nash I don't RULE IT OUT! got to pony up some talent though which Columbus has: One of Brassard or Filatov would be GOLD! preferrably Brassard. I think they might still give Murray a call, just my opinion, they also have Umberger, Huselius, Voracek or even getting Vermy back. I want no part of Freddy Modin
New Jersey: N.J has never really been talked about but they have cap room and could use the offense, plus Heatley and Parise??? WOW! they should sign Vrana and include him in on a deal with Ekford and a First Rounder for Heatley. Rolston would be nice but he's WAY overpaid so NO WAY. Langenbrunner maybe? aging but still productive.
Heatley will likely have to accept a trade to a team not on his little stupid "list" and that makes me VERY happy!
I would LOVE for the Blues to come calling, but they have publicly said they are not trading any of their young studs IMO they're Effing retarded, getting Heatley to play with them would be ingenious, IMHO 3 Very Powerful scoring lines with the likes of Kariya, Backes, Tkachuk, Boyes, McDonald, Berglund, Perron, Oshie, and Eller. I really hope this changes and Blues Management grows a brain, plus they just signed Heatley's buddy Brendan Bell!
So there you have it, WHEN Hetard is traded I can GUARANTEE you it will to be one of the teams I listed. All other teams either can't afford him, don't want him or don't need him.
Oh when oh when will this dreaded Saga END!
Time will tell.

@Rayzor: Filatov is one of my favourite prospects, but he's still largely unproven.
If Dallas manages to trade Richards, I can't wait to see who picks him up! You'd figure the guy would be humbled a bit and take a paycut to help his team/facilitate his movement...
The Flames are pretty high on Phaneuf, and with our logjam at D, I don't see Heatley for Phaneuf being a possibility. I wouldn't be surprised to see Olli Jokinen's name being mentioned though.
I would absolutely LOVE to see Langenbrunner as a Sen!
Good blog Mike, I'm also hoping this Heatley mess is over soon!Posted 08-02-2009 at 02:47 PM by JoshLind

True Josh, I fully agree! If Howsen wants immediate results getting Heatley to play with Nash is far better than Nash having to develop chemistry with Filatov.
Dallas doesn't even need to trade Richards to acquire Heatley, they have a little over 8 Mill in cap space. They could give us a nice package and keep Richards! so it could get interesting later on this month or even THIS WEEK or next. If I'm a Dallas fan I want some changes after last years Ottawa like season.Posted 08-05-2009 at 04:13 AM by AK27ReLoaded
