Default Scotiabank Place to Host Binghamton Senators Game..

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 24, 2009) - Scotiabank Place, in conjunction with the Binghamton Senators, announced today that the building will host a regular-season American Hockey League game between Ottawa's AHL affiliate and the Hamilton Bulldogs (the Montreal Canadiens' AHL affiliate) on Sunday, Nov. 8, at 3 p.m. The Bulldogs will host Binghamton on Friday, Nov. 6, at Montreal's Bell Centre in the first game of the weekend 'home-and-home' series.

"As we continue to reinforce our relationship with the B-Sens, it's important that fans in Ottawa have an opportunity to identify with potential future Senators," said Tim Murray, assistant general manager of the Senators and general manager of the B-Sens. "Our existing rivalry with Montreal should make this a great weekend of hockey, showcasing a number of up-and-coming players on both teams."

The city of Ottawa and Scotiabank Place (then Corel Centre) last held an AHL game on Jan. 22, 2005, when the B-Sens defeated the St. John's Maple Leafs 4-3 in front of 14,210 fans. Current Senators Jason Spezza (two goals) and Chris Kelly (one goal, one assist) both had multi-point games in helping the 'home' side to victory.

Tickets prices are as follows: $24, $19 and $14 (prices inclusive of all taxes, but excluding CRF fee and convenience charges). Tickets go on sale on Friday, Aug. 7, at 10 a.m. and can be obtained by visiting www.CapitalTickets.ca, by phone at 613-599-FANS (3267) or 1-877-788-FANS (3267); in person at The Sens Store at Rideau Centre and Place d'Orleans, any Ottawa Sports Experts location and at the Scotiabank Place box office.

Absolutely, I would imagine (and hope) that those who work the B-Sens games will get a tour of Ottawa's set up from their game day video room, can't wait..

I'd buy, but Max Pac is likely going to be in the NHL this year. But good prices...

Hamilton/Binghamton, now that Karlsson is in Bingo, it's Subban vs Karlsson. I should probably try and get tickets to this to see it actually.

I think that the NHL teams should play a game in the AHL venues once a year instead.

I remember when my father used to take me to see the Citadels, I was so excited when Tugnut got sent down and I was gonna get to see an NHL player! Imagine, being excited over seeing Quebec's back up goalie . Anyways my point is I am sure a lot of fans in the small out of the way AHL venues would love to see some NHL players.
