Technically, Sunday's game at Scotiabank Place, outside of Ottawa, is a home game for the B-Sens. But still, at no point in the season will the team spend more consecutive games away from the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena than the six here over the next 10 days:

Tonight: 7 p.m. in Albany
Friday: 7:30 p.m. in Montreal against Hamilton
Sunday: 3 p.m. in Kanata, Ontario, against Hamilton
Tuesday, Nov. 10: 7:15 p.m. in Norfolk
Wednesday, Nov. 11: 7:15 p.m. in Norfolk
Friday, Nov. 13: 7:30 p.m. in Glens Falls against Adirondack.

The trip is notable for a few other reasons, starting with the fact Binghamton is going to need to pull itself out of this almost season-long skid (1-5-2-0 since winning first two games) away from the friendly confines. There are also those two games in NHL rinks: Montreal and Ottawa.

And it's hard not to notice that rough turnaround -- Sunday afternoon in Kanata, to Tuesday night in Norfolk.

But it might not be quite that bad, though. The team will return to Binghamton after Sunday afternoon's game, then fly out of here at 11 a.m. Monday to Norfolk. The bus will meet them down there for the return trip.

After Friday night's loss to Rochester, defenseman Derek Smith talked about the upcoming trip:

"It might be nice to get on the road," he said. "For some reason, we've been struggling at home lately. It'll be nice to get on the road, and I guess, get closer with the boys. And we're all excited (about) this road trip. I think we're gone for a week and a half, and it should be fun."

Here is an article from the Sens official site regarding the BSens visit over the week-end:

Grade A opportunity for B-Sens
Scotiabank Place game offers taste of big time for AHL affiliate

Opportunity, above all else, is the name of the game in the American Hockey League.

And for the many dreamers who diligently toil at that level of the game, their eyes rarely stray too far from the true prize – the chance to perform on the biggest stage of them all. So it is that the Binghamton Senators eagerly anticipate their matchup with the Hamilton Bulldogs at Scotiabank Place on Sunday.

While it isn't exactly the full-fledged shot at the National Hockey League that they all dearly desire, it might just be the next best thing. Safe to say that when the puck drops shortly after 3 p.m., the juices figure to be flowing on the B-Sens bench as they prepare to take on the top affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens.

"I think we’re excited," Binghamton head coach Don Nachbaur said during a media conference call earlier this week. "I can hear the guys talking around the locker-room about playing in front of those crowds and in those buildings (the teams also meet Friday at the Bell Centre in Montreal).

"Ultimately, that’s your objective when you’re playing in the minors – to be able to play in the National Hockey League – and when you get to play in those buildings in front of the people we’re going to play in front of, it’s a chance to impress both the bosses that we work for and the people that are rating us as hockey players."

Sickkkkk

I knew the B-sens would take this game! Brodeur showing some clutchness glad to see!

Though i wanted to mention that Holt is doing absolutley phenomenal with Elmira and maybe was wondering if we can get to see him play a couple of games in the ahl?

Time for Bingo to put on a preformance in Ottawa!

Tonight vs Manchester Monarchs..
-----
Bingo lose in a SO 6-5 but earned a point that seemed to be lost, down 5-1 9:02 left in the 3rd and Hamel gets the come back rolling w/ a goal, Sens scored 4 goals to tie it and the last goal w/ 50 seconds left and Brodeur pulled..a tried team played well but couldn't find a way to beat Zatkoff until the 3rd..

Some highlights;
-2 fights tonight, one of them from recent call-up Lowry as he beat up on Elkins the other Bailey and Cliche
-Brodeur in net, played well but the defense didn't help him at all on a few goals

Scratches;
Yabo (back), Spencer (suspension), D. Smith (flu)

Some stand outs;
-Karlsson had a ton of ice time and is playing better, didn't take any dumb penalities and handles the pp tonight going 2-4, he ends up w/ 3 assists
-Keller continues to roll w/ a goal and 2 assists, +1

Oddballs;
-Coach Nachbaur had this to say in the press.."We could have quit when it's 5-1," B-Sens coach Don Nachbaur said. "We've been in that situation at home before, and I don't think people know how tired our hockey club was just coming off that trip. It was a long trip. We were in Albany, Montreal, Ottawa, Norfolk, back up to Glens Falls, New York, and back home tonight..and for our guys to not quit and muster a comeback like that is a real credit to them. And for me, I think we rounded the corner, just mentally speaking, because a lot of teams would have shut it down. We didn't."

Video highlights*;

Next up; Bingo @ Hartford Wed Night
