Jasmine, I'm no expert on the subject, but I think it has a lot to do with Ottawa drafting many college kids and Europeans. Teams who draft out of professional North-American leagues play their prospects for their farm teams, and many AHL teams end up the beneficiaries.
Most of Ottawa's top prospects, however, play in college or Europe, not for the Binghampton Senators.

No problem If you figure, as I do, that our TOP 10 prospects are:
Jim O’Brien, Ilya Zubov, Louie Caporusso, Jakob Silfverberg, Jared Cowen, Patrick Wiercioch, Andre Petersson, Robin Lehner, and Chris Holt
it should be a bit alarming that only two, O'Brien and Holt, play for Binghampton.

Robin Lehner has played 2 games so far with Bingo.
His first game was a not so well game as he was obviously trying to adjust to the bigger skill level in the OHL and stopped 22 of 27 shots in a 6-5 Binghamton victory over the Phantoms.
Lehner turned right back at it and put in a solid performance last night stopped 31 of 32 shots for a 3-1 win over the Penguins(Coincidence? I think NOT!)
Binghamton is back at it today with a game against the Penguins to finish off a home and home series. Lehner will most likely get the start in net.
It has definitely been a disappointing season for the Baby Sens as they have missed the playoffs yet again but they seem to have finished off strong with a big jump and a little hope going into next year going 14-4-2 in their last 20 games!

Lehner was shaky at best in his 2nd game, and quite lucky, but he's got the tools to be good..and as far as hope goes, there's only 4 players signed for next season on this years squad..

Yea but with Murray as our GM. Seeing as how he made the Big club solid that was supposed to be shit, i can't wait to see how he transforms the Baby Sens.
You also going to have Gryba for a full season and Wiercioch too!...
