Default Self-Imposed Budgets in the NHL
I'd like to track self-imposed salary caps, but I don't know every team's financial situation, so anyone with information, please be forthcoming

Teams known to have self-imposed budgets:
- Anaheim
- Buffalo
- Dallas
- Tampa Bay

Teams known to not have self-imposed budgets:
- Boston
- Calgary
- Chicago
- Detroit
- Montreal
- New Jersey
- New York Rangers
- Ottawa
- Philadelphia
- Pittsburgh
- Toronto
- Vancouver

Not sure:
- Atlanta
- Carolina
- Colorado
- Columbus
- Edmonton
- Florida
- Los Angeles
- Minnesota
- Nashville
- New York Islanders
- Phoenix
- San Jose
- St. Louis
- Washington

Carolina and Nashville definitely have self-imposed budgets, Preds all the time, Canes for this season.

I THINK Washington, Edmonton, San Jose, Colorado and Los Angeles are fine, but don't quote me on it.

Darryl Katz owns Rexall Pharmacies man. Dude uses 100 dollar bills as toilet paper. The Oliers certainly do not have a self-imposed budget.

Also, considering the NHL owns the Phoeniz Coyotes, I would think they must have one.

Just guessing, but based off attendance numbers for these teams, I'd say Atlanta and the Islanders have a self-imposed cap. I think St. Louis has one too, but I'm not 100% sure...

I have seen nothing of the sort reported anywhere regarding the Islanders...

Doesn't mean it's not true, but I would just think that Snow is taking his time with prospects and the like. Why sign big free agents when they have the home-grown talent already???
