How about the Hart?
While we're all cooling down for the Rocket Richard and Art Ross races and having amazing arguments about how Ovechkin would win and how he's on steroids and how Crosby is sexy and Stamkos is too, who do you think should be crowned league MVP?
Firstly, Henrik Sedin, the reigning points leader. Question is, does winning the Art Ross translate into the Hart as it has most of the time or should it be taken into account that he won strictly by assists and didn't have all that many goals.
Then, Sidney Crosby (I can't believe I misspelled that twice while typing it out). The league's top goal-scorer (along with Steven Stamkos and narrowly beating that guy who missed 10 games and still nearly won it all) and technically tied for 2nd in the points category along with that other guy from Russia. He'd be my pick because he was imo in his best all-around season (goals + assists) and proved he isn't just a passer, something Henrik still hasn't done.
Lastly, Alex "OMG It's" Ovechkin. Rest assured, if he played 82 or at least 80 games like all his counterparts (Sedin, Crosby, Stamkos) did, he'd win. Hell he'd win if he played any better against Boston. However, should he be crowned MVP AGAIN or should the players who played all/most of the games take the MVP for this year...
Hmmmm

Ryan Miller, without who they would have missed yet again.
It doesn't always have to go to the top point getters.

I meant to put down a goalie(s) but forgot.
If someone (a mod) could edit that in, that would be great.

I would say him, miller or henrik. Honestly while crosby and ovie scored lots and got lots of points. This year I don't know if they were more vital to their teams than Bryzgalov, Miller and H. Sedin. And isn't it the player who is MOST valuable?

Exactly, the played deemed most valuable to their team..
They had this on Hodgemail on TSN a week ago, I submitted an answer but it was too well thought out to be on the segment.
I said take away Crosby and you still have Fleury, Malkin, Staal
Take away Ovechkin and you still have Backstrom, Semin, Green
Then I said something about Miller.. without him they wouldn't score more then they let in

Look where Phoenix was, consider the uncertainty and all. It is a special set of circumstances that may never come around again for years to come, try and convince me someone is a better candidate than Bryzgolov.
I think I spell his name differently every time I try

... Why don't you just check on the Coyotes site or elsewhere ? Man, I am just shocked about people who can't just make a 2 clicks to spell right the surname - no offense, but this is just being lazy.

I think by arguing in his favor for the Hart gets me off the hook for misspelling his name, he won't mind.

You wrote it correctly earlier in this thread, so I find it strange to misspell it later.

Miller, no question. The Sabres probably wouldn't even be in the playoffs if it weren't for him.

Miller or Bryzgalov.
The other guys shouldn't even be considered for the Hart, it is the most valuable player to the team and these guys were definitely their respective team's rocks.

Probably because no matter how you spell it, Bryzgalov shows up with a red underline, making you wonder if you really did get it right.

It'll go to Sedin, but it should be Ovechkin.
