There's a "edit poll" option for us mods on the top right of the thread, on the same line as the poll's question.

I voted Bryzgalov.
I think him and Miller will split this award and the Vezina.

For some reason, it wouldn't let me cast my vote - so I edited the poll and gave a point to OV

This is ridiculous. Its downright embarrassing what some people are saying. Henrik shouldn't win it because he doesn't have enough goals? That's absurd. I don't know how in God's name the player most valuable to his team could be a player whose team went 7-2-1 in games he missed. Ovechkin's did. Either Crosby or Bryzgalov would be barely acceptable picks but, realistically, it has to be Hank Sedin.
Hank has always been A LOT more of a passer and playmaker than a goal-scorer. But when Daniel was hurt, Henrik put the team on his back, he showed he could score goals too, and that he can play without his brother, he went on a run where he had 8 goals in 9 games. When Daniel came back, it really messed up opposing teams. Suddenly they can't just cover the pass when Hank has the puck, they have to worry about him scoring goals now too. After Daniel's return, Henrik went on another run, scoring 17 points in 9 games and not long after, Alex Burrows went on a stretch where he had 15 goals in 13 games. Oh, by the way, Hank had 19 assists in those 13 games. Later on in the season, when the team's offense needed a shake-up, Burrows was put on a line with Kesler and Demitra, and Samuelsson went on the top line and scored 11 goals in a 9 game stretch. Henrik had 10 assists in that span.
Not to mention Roberto Luongo struggled mightily ever since the Olympic break, Henrik has just kept doing his thing, with 32 points in those 21 games. And just look at the sickening amount of injuries the team has had to it's defense. At one point, the defense-core consisted of Aaron Rome, Andrew Alberts, Cristian Ehrhoff, Nolan Baumgartner, Shane O'Brien and Brad Lukowich... Yikes. I'm not saying Henrik Sedin is the best player in the NHL, not by a longshot, but there is no arguing that he was more more valuable to his team than any player in the NHL this season. No arguing, please. Discussion is closed.

You make very good points, but I still think the NHL will be diplomatic and award it elsewhere, especially seeing as he already won the point scoring trophy.

Goalies who redefine the term "Franchise" and make it into a whole new meaning.
