Default The Hockey Betting Thread

So, instead of discussing Proline and Mise-O-Jeu in the Leafs thread, let's do it here shall we?

Yeah right. Brandon and SG seriously met on here? Have they met in real life?

lol, dunno...

So for Sunday, if you're interested - Boston over the Rangers, Columbus over Washington and Colorado over Vancouver is paying 10 to 1 right now.

I went off to go watch some TV.

Vancouver got smoked last night. Andrew Raycroft is horrible.

Hey, that Schneider kid wasn't much better when they chucked him in either...I wouldn't be betting on Vancouver to do much until Bobby Lu gets better.

That means The Sens Forum is responsible for, as Rayzor put it, two souls connecting. That's awesome!

Tonight I have a very small potential return - Boston, Tampa, and St. Louis are my teams for just over $10.00.

Well, I understand why it pays 10 to 1. It's a back-to-back for Boston and Gaborik could be back. Columbus could beat Washington, but of course you're planning against Ovechkin and a healthy Semin. And then your banking on Colorado continuing their trend and Vancouver not bouncing back. Colorado over Vancouver is actually pretty tempting, especially because of injuries in Vancouver. I'm not sure I'd take the first two bets, but for a payout that high it's surely worth the shot. Maybe get a 2nd ticket with better odds and a payout that will cover your losses if you lose on that first ticket...that's an option I use sometimes. I'll make a 2 or 3 dollar bet on some bad odds, with maybe a 30 - 40 dollar payout, and then another $2 ticket on 3 teams I really count on winning that maybe only pays back $8.00, but then I've covered my potential loss on the first one.

Of course, hockey is SUCH a hard game to handicap. That can work in your favour or against it.

I also will buy 2 tickets in that situation - we really do think alike, don't we?
