Anyone else hear anything about the sens targeting Gonchar?

If true i think it would be a pretty decetn signing, murray would get that Offensive defencemen be has lonnnnnng been looking for, as long as its not tooo hefty of a price tag

He's a left shot, so the ideal pair of Gonchar - Phillips wouldn't work. Gonchar - Karlsson would look nice on the PP!

Here's what I think could happen soon:

Florida will trade Nathan Horton.
Either Scott Niedermayer or Tomas Kaberle will end up in New Jersey.
Anton Volchenkov will be a New York Ranger.
Ray Whitney will sign with Buffalo or Edmonton.
Atlanta will sign Zherdev.
Ilya Kovalchuk will end up in Anaheim or Colorado.

God I sure hope Ottawa doesn't sign Gonchar.

Kovalchuk will sign in LA or St Louis. If LA loses the Kovalchuk sweepstakes they will sign Marleau, assuming he doesn't re-sign in San Jose.

The Rangers will be busy trying to think of ways to get rid of Redden or Roszival's contract, if they can do that, then maybe they sign Volchenkov.

I hope we don't acquire Horton either, Florida will be asking too much.

I'm thinking Jokinen ends up in Toronto.

Whitney to Buffalo makes sense. To Edmonton? Not so much.

*Jeff Carter will likely stay in Philly...more likely somebody else
*Nathan Horton will hopefully be traded in the next 2 weeks or so. Stephan Weiss could also be relocating.
*Their will be more trades and transaction from Nashville.
*Spezza rumour cerculating around the league...
*Expect more trades in Philly.
*Leafs will try to trade Thomas Kaberle.
*Edmonton will be busy for the next couple weeks.

Where did you hear about Penner for Kovalev? And Weiss is good, but Spezza's a really talented forward and is just better then Weiss IMO. However, to say doing that trade would be the end of the Ottawa Senators is quite funny.
