Default Current NHL Injuries

This is just CRAZY!!! How many players got injured in the past couple of weeks?

Made a list of it (By the way, we just finished the 5th game of the season...wow, way too much).

Oh, forgot to put, its only the NHL regulars.

*Joffery Lupul (14 stiches...would be out for a while)
*Ryan Getzlaf (He is all right now)
*Kari Lethonen (day-to-day...doesn't know when he will comeback)
*Colby Armstrong (a groin, than a lower body injury...that must suck)
*David Krejci (He got a hip injury...he is fine right now)
*Milain Lucic (undisclosed injury. He is fine right now)
*Dennis Wideman (new one. He is in day-to-day status right now)
*Thomas Vanek (upper body injury isn't serious as they thought...glad for them)
*David Moss (upper body injury. Will not travel the road trip)
*EriK Cole (...4~6 weeks. Must suck for him)
*Eric Staal (Will play, although he is still placed on day-to-day)
*Ruslan Salei (placed on IR)
*John-Micheal Liles (diagnosed with a bruised knee, out for 2 weeks)
*Fredrick Modin (To practise some point this week)
*Mike Commodore (groin injury. Doesn't know when he will come back)
*Rostislav Klesla (His practise is limited due to hip flexor injury)
*Mike Modano (looking good, but still far away from action)
*Steve Ott (will miss practise)
*Niklas Kronwall (was sent to tests on his leg)
*Johan Franzen (will have surgery to repair ACL)
*Pavel Dasyuk (his undisclosed upper body injury isn't as serious)
*Sheldon Souray (consussion. Was placed on injury list)
*Steve Staios (concussion, will miss practise)
*Nathan Horton (undisclosed injury)
*Radek Dvorak (got a flu, missed practise)
*Steve Reinprecht (undisclosed injury)
*Pierre Marc-Bouchard (Diagnos? Headaches? Anyways Wild is giving him a rest)
*Petr Sykora (groin injury, will not atleast be back next week)
*Patrick Elias (groin injury, but yet increasing the intensity of its work out)
*Doug Weight (monday's game will be questioned)
*Rick Dipietro (knee injury, but had a practise)
*Filip Kuba (upper body injury)
*Peter Regin (will be expected to play tomorrow's game)
*Phil Kessel (long term IR)
*Vesa Toskala (out 10~14 days due to knee injury)
*Mike Van Ryn (IR...again)
*Daniel Sedin (out for 3 weeks atleast)
*Matthieu Shnieder (would lilely come back around the end of October)
*Pavel Demitra (currently on rehab)
*Sami Salo (out for 4~6 weeks)

I might have missed some, since there were WAY too many. What the @@@@ is going on!!!

Well, at least younger players are getting the opportunity to show what they got.

The NHL has turned into a superstar only sport.
Its Crosby and Ovechkin. Everyone else doesn't matter. The only way to make headlines is to pull a NASCAR and play dangerously.

DiPietro is always injured... that's really uncomfortable for the Islanders... he's a great goalie!

Ridiculous, facepalm after facepalm.

Yah, they should really stop that. Bettman, TSN, HNIC just have to stop loving Crosby so much.

I would like to see Crosby in the 80's hockey. He might, or might not be on the top 30 list.

Does were the tough, scoring days. 100 points was NOTHING.

Looks like Toews is injured now too.

I'll update the list when there's more info on how long he's out for.

Yup that was an absolutely beautiful hit. There won't be any controversy if that was clean hit or not (well except for maybe some angry Chicago homers).

Apparently Brent Seabrook copped a boot to the face...hopefully he's ok.

Clean hit or not...these are the ones I don't appreciate. I will not make a big case out of it but when a guy is gonna lay on the ice in a coma, you tell me it was a clean hit.

Yes yes, I know, keep your head up....blah blah blah...

But this hit was clearly shoulder to shoulder - it was the impact that forced him to the ice, not a hit to the head.

An open ice hit is a risky hit. My issue is not which part of the body hits which part of the other ones body, well, it is, but mainly..its the impact of the hit.

I kind of agree that the hit was overboard. I know it was legal, and I know it's a rough sport. I know nothing will change, if anything it will get rougher. There's just so many injuries lately, and over the years I've watched the game go from being dominated by uniquely skilled individuals, to being led by half-man half-beast machines.
