Chad LaRose took a nasty spill today vs the Islanders. Don't know if he's injured or what, but I'll try to get an update.

Mike Knuble broke his finger tonight vs Minnesota, and will be out for 3-4 weeks.

Kari Lehtonen is still 6-8 weeks away from returning. He had a second back surgery (at age 25!!!) at the beginning of the month.

Ondrej Pavelec is the starter on Atlanta. While it's sad to see Lehtonen, a young guy go down with another injury, Atlanta isn't in any trouble really. Pavelec is the starter over there. He's playing lights out. 38 save shutout last night vs Kings.

Ryan O'Byrne has started skating with the Canadiens. Gionta still out.

Alexander Ovechkin is expected to be back on Tuesday.

I really hope he's not rushing himself just to seperate himself from the pack when it comes to goals.

And he didn't waste any time adding to his goal totals either. He and Gaborik both had a goal in their game against each other, tied for league lead at 15. I suspect Gaborik is enjoying being in a more offensive minded system than Minnesota.
