Ouch. Seeing as Van Riemsdyk was the one stepping up in the wake of injuries to Briere and Gagne, this one's really going to hurt. Right around the time that Emery is gonna' fold too...!

Alexander Ovechkin will be out for one more week most likely and hopes to return by the weekend. He joked to a reporter he'll be gone 4-5 weeks, thus, the report on yahoo sports.

I'd do that every time if I were Ovie.

Apparently, Crosby is injured too, but is playing through it, as the Penguins are seriously hurting with the injuries at the moment.

Daniel Sedin will not return this week, foot hasn't healed as quick as expected, so the earliest he'll return at the moment is next Friday vs the Avalanche.
