He's still on the bench but he's wincing.

Got hip-checked (clean hit) by Vermette.

Alexandre Burrows is also hurt, and will not be checking in to the line up tonight for the Vancouver Canucks.

Tanner Glass is playing on the top line, and Aaron Rome (D) is playing on the third line while Mathieu Schneider will play on the fourth line.

That was an ugly ass collision with the boards.

Shane Doan as well, got leveled with the elbow of James Wisniewski last night, fell on the ice when he tried to get back on his feet, but skated back to the bench under his own power. Might be another concussion.

Jim Hughson and Craig Simpson were talking about it last night during the Habs/Leafs game as well. Apparently, a rough count would show that 150 players are currently out of action with either an injury or the flu league-wide around the NHL.

Make that 103.

Alexander Ovechkin got injured today in the game vs Columbus and didn't return.

So Doan, McDonnald, and other couple of Team Canada candidates are gone.

Hmmm what will the team Canada roster look like after this injury streak?

Thanks for the info man. Did it seem serious? I'm not seeing him on any lists...

Well he skated under his own power to the bench, but it looked like a fish flopping out of water at first when he got up to his feet. He looked concussed. Don't know if he is though.

Michael Grabner of the Vancouver Canucks got injured last night too. The injuries just don't stop for the Canucks. That Grabner-Kesler-Raymond line was an absolute great line. Great chemistry. Shame to see it end with ANOTHER injury to the Canucks.

At least Salo returned last night in the Canucks 3-0 victory over the Avs (Go Nucks!)

Canucks news:
Grabner is injured for 'quite some time' with an ankle injury. Possibly high-ankle sprain.
Salo returned last night, but apparently, didn't look great after the game.
Daniel Sedin is expected to be back within the next 2-3 weeks.

Habs news:
O'Byrne in 2-4 weeks it seems.
Markov wants to play in the Olympics and is eyeing a January return. (Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan) 4 months... about right...

Caps news:
Ovechkin out day-to-day last I heard.

Hurricanes' center Eric Staal is also injured.
