In hockey, you're taught to never watch your pass. I play hockey and I learned that, which is why I'm never laying on the ice after getting hit like that.
Don't admire your pass and you can avoid those types of hits. However, I do think these types of hits have to get eliminated. But players have gotta stop admiring their passes, plain and simple.

No, its more like

Montreal also has Ryan O'Byrne injured, who was an important part of the team at the time of his injury.

Crazy-good-mega-super-ultra-stars.
Or just injuries I think are even more important to their respective teams.

^^ If that's the case, Sami Salo, David Booth, Anton Volchenkov and John Michael Liles should be in bold.
Salo is a huge part of the Canucks blueline, Booth is a huge part of Florida's offense, Volchenkov, well, you guys are the Sens fans you should know, and John-Michael Liles is a huge part of the Avalanche's success on the PP. Ever since he's been injured, the PP has been something like 2/20, after scoring in bunches on the PP when Liles was available.

O'Byrne is reviving his career... well, he was before he was injured.
Hopefully, he can continue when he returns.

He's getting back on track after putting the puck in his own net last year.
He's getting back on track with his career and finally looking like he can be a full time NHLer. I'd rather have O'Byrne than Hal Gill. Hal Gill should just go to the minors and stay there forever. Maybe if we're lucky, someone would pluck him off waivers.

It probably wouldn't have been made such a huge deal if we didn't lose that game...
wait, it's Montreal, we still would've made a HUGE deal about it.
